fix(statusline): buffer overrun in option check #42186
Problem: when checking a 'statusline'-style option string that contains
`%#` (not `%#(` or `%#)`) and ends before the closing `#`, the pointer
is advanced over the NULL.
Solution: always check for NULL before advancing.
