In the `enc=utf-8` only world, the 'isprint' option is quite obsolete.
The function is only consulted for decoded U+0080 to U+00FF chars
whose printability is defined by the unicode charset, just like
higher codepoints. Meanwhile, invalid `\x80` to `\xFF` bytes are always
unprintable.
Disentangle 'iskeyword', 'isfname' and 'isident' from each other by
giving them all separate bitsets. Now these can be updated individually.
These updaters can back out of errors gracefully, no need for extra
panic logic in option[str].c to restore partially updated chartabs.

(#41966)
Problem: When 'fillchars' is set without a "vert" item, the vertical
separator is drawn with a space instead of the documented
default '|' (habamax).
Solution: Use '|' as the internal default for "vert" in
set_chars_option() (Hirohito Higashi).
fixes: vim/vim#21322
closes: vim/vim#21325
https://github.com/vim/vim/commit/4b3e2e3db0a4926622da59ef6301ff79c99fff30
No new test is needed as this is already covered by options/chars_spec.

Problem: test: trailing spaces used in tests
Solution: Rewrite tests to avoid trailing spaces (Paul Ollis).
Some tests currently rely on trailing whitespace at the end of lines,
escaped with '\'. I have demonstrated in another PR, such spaces can be
inadvertently removed and this is difficult to spot.
Note: there are more trailing spaces in a few more test files, see
testdir/test_codestyle.vim. Those are not yet removed.

scrolled down due to w_topline change. Also add more testing
for what 8.2.3204 fixed (zeertzjq).

mode on Unix
Problem: defaults: 'showcmd' is not enabled in non-compatible mode on
Unix
Solution: Always enable 'showcmd' in non-compatible mode, drop it from
defaults.vim.
'showcmd' was already always enabled in Vim compatible mode except for
UNIX environments. So let's just enable it always, there is no good
reason why UNIX platforms should be handled differently than other
platforms, especially since `defaults.vim` did enable this option
anyhow.

Problem: matchparen highlight not cleared in completion mode
Solution: Clear matchparen highlighting in completion mode
Remove hard-coded hack in insexpand.c to clear the :3match before
displaying the completion menu.
Add a test for matchparen highlighting. While at it, move all test tests
related to the matchparen plugin into a separate test file.

The new oldtest directory is in test/old/testdir. The reason for this is
that many tests have hardcoded the parent directory name to be
'testdir'.
