Why not Github?

I have a Github, but I'm in the process of making my Github just a mirror of this service. The reasoning is simple: I don't want my main code repository to exist on a server I don't have control over.

Second point is, it is my opinion that the Github interface is too bloated for what I'm trying to use it for. As someone who primarily concerned with pushing and publishing and does not require the advanced workflow requirements Github (attempts) to provide, I find a simple cgit server to be the exact thing I'm looking for.
