This also makes shada reading slightly faster due to avoiding
some copying and allocation.
Use keysets to drive decoding of msgpack maps for shada entries.

Problem: No test for escaping '<' with shellescape()
Solution: Add a test. Use memcpy() in code to make it easier to
understand. Fix a typo (zeertzjq).

Problem: too many strlen() calls in search.c
Solution: refactor code and remove more strlen() calls,
use explicit variable to remember strlen

It is less error-prone than manually defining header guards. Pretty much
all compilers support it even if it's not part of the C standard.

long is 32 bits on windows, while it is 64 bits on other architectures.
This makes the type suboptimal for a codebase meant to be
cross-platform. Replace it with more appropriate integer types.

Problem: Completion only uses strict matching.
Solution: Add the "fuzzy" item for 'wildoptions'. (Yegappan Lakshmanan,
closes vim/vim#9803)
https://github.com/vim/vim/commit/38b85cb4d7216705058708bacbc25ab90cd61595
Use MAX_FUZZY_MATCHES in fuzzy_match_str().
Omit fuzmatch_str_free() as it is only used on allocation failure.

Allow Include What You Use to remove unnecessary includes and only
include what is necessary. This helps with reducing compilation times
and makes it easier to visualise which dependencies are actually
required.
Work on https://github.com/neovim/neovim/issues/549, but doesn't close
it since this only works fully for .c files and not headers.

This type itself is not eval-specific. Moving it to types.h can avoid
including eval/funcs.h in many headers, and types.h is already included
by many headers.

Problem: Searchcount() test fails on slower systems.

Problem: Cannot get the search statistics.
Solution: Add the searchcount() function. (Fujiwara Takuya, closes vim/vim#4446)
https://github.com/vim/vim/commit/e8f5ec0d30b629d7166f0ad03434065d8bc822df
Additional changes:
- Tests weren't passing because the test ran assuming the cursor was at
start of buffer but append() left the cursor at end of buffer .
So cursor is moved to start of buffer after append.
- searchcount() added to list of builtin functions.

not what some people expect. (Brett Stahlman)

What works:
1. ShaDa file dumping: header, registers, jump list, history, search patterns,
substitute strings, variables.
2. ShaDa file reading: registers, global marks, variables.
Most was not tested.
TODO:
1. Merging.
2. Reading history, local marks, jump and buffer lists.
3. Documentation update.
4. Converting some data from &encoding.
5. Safer variant of dumping viminfo (dump to temporary file then rename).
6. Removing old viminfo code (currently masked with `#if 0` in a ShaDa file for
reference).

- The 'stripdecls.py' script replaces declarations in all headers by includes to
generated headers.
`ag '#\s*if(?!ndef NEOVIM_).*((?!#\s*endif).*\n)*#ifdef INCLUDE_GENERATED'`
was used for this.
- Add and integrate gendeclarations.lua into the build system to generate the
required includes.
- Add -Wno-unused-function
- Made a bunch of old-style definitions ANSI
This adds a requirement: all type and structure definitions must be present
before INCLUDE_GENERATED_DECLARATIONS-protected include.
Warning: mch_expandpath (path.h.generated.h) was moved manually. So far it is
the only exception.

Change define guards from NEOVIM_XXX_H to NVIM_XXX_H:
- Change header files.
- Change clint correct guard name calculation.
|
|
Move files from src/ to src/nvim/.
- src/nvim/ becomes the new root dir for nvim executable sources.
- src/libnvim/ is planned to become root dir of the neovim library.
